I’m predicting that in some minds this one is going to become the highlight of this entire site.
I’m more interested in the brilliant way you arranged the trap, D Charlton. Ray Mears couldn’t have done better. A trap specially designed to catch cute fox cubs and not their vicious, snarling relatives. What was the bait? Was it a clip from Bambi, or that bit in Watership Down when Hazel dies?
Oh dear, does “sorted” mean this cub is now as indifferent to the cricket as it’s possible to be?
No foxes were harmed in the writing of this post.
The taking of the picture, on the other hand …
The coincidence of the name apart, this creature actually looks quite a lot like Fox Mulder off the X Files.
Surely the fox is showing indifference to cricket, as it is looking in the exact opposite direction to any activity which might be going on in those nets?
can’t see how you wouldn’t just get it out and run home with it. that thing is cute as hell.
Ged maybe there are several nets in a row and the fox is watching the cricket being played in the next net along.
The photo seems very staged, I’m wondering if the fox cub is stuffed, KC would like that.
