Artballing – we love the use of the word “accurately”

Remember Michael Vaughan’s paint thing? He was commissioned to produce a painting of the Chevrolet Cruze.

“The painting took eight hours to create with Vaughan calling on his cricketing expertise to accurately recreate the bodywork, tyres and alloys on canvas using five different coloured cricket balls and over 20 litres of paint.”

Just putting the finishing touches to the alloys

It’s uncanny.

We love artballing. We love how it’s shit.

  1. Could one of Vaughan’s pink balls be used in day/night Test cricket perhaps?

  2. In the 12th over of the day, the Chevrolet Cruze was granted an early repreive as Vaughan dropped a regulation catch at silly mid-on, inexplicably reaching with just one hand as the ball squirted off the tyre and onto the hubcap, before being put down by the former England captain.

  3. I was about to agree wholeheartedly with your comment, Bob Patterson, till I realised that I’d probably misinterpreted what you meant.

  4. he should be wearing the hood on that jumpsuit.

he doesn’t want to get paint in his hair.

one of my abiding memories of vaughan’s career is the little ruffle of his hair he used to do whenever he took his helmet off.

  5. Collywobble, sometimes it does. There’s all sorts of techniques.

    Well, there’s two.
