Mitchell Johnson’s bowling problems

Australia coach, Tim Nielsen, has some positive words to say about Mitchell Johnson, who’s currently trying to read this article on the bookcase four feet to the left of his monitor:

“It wasn’t like he’d lost confidence and all the things were falling apart and he was bowling 85mph and didn’t know where it was going.”

No, Tim, it was like he’d lost confidence and all the things were falling apart and he was bowling 90mph and didn’t know where it was going.

What’s your point, exactly? That each wide didn’t last as long?

  1. I think the whole team is becoming delusional. They are probably all practising hook shots as we speak, so they get it ‘right’ next time.

Shane Watson who is barely a no 6 at international level will probably come in as opener.

As an Aus fan, I am trying to be philosophical and say to myself that it is all very ‘interesting’. Which will work until I see Shane Watson walking out on to the pitch with Katich. (sob)

  2. I keep wondering how much worse Mitch can get and he shows me.

    6 an over against Northants.

    Taxi for Mr Johnson!

They won’t, can’t start him in Edgbaston, can they?

  3. i hope he plays at edgbaston. it’s like when you drive on the motorway and you see a big car crash and you know you shouldn’t stare but you can’t look away. that’s what it feels like when i see him bowl.

  4. I hope Mitch takes a few wickets against Northants later today.

Men of Northamptonshire, do your duty for England. You know what you have to do.
