A quick Cricket Badger update

We won’t do this regularly because that would be boring, but we thought we’d at least let you know how week one of Cricket Badger went.

We picked up a couple of hundred subscribers – most within the first day. More pleasingly, we will have about 20 per cent more than that for the next newsletter. This presumably means that people liked what they received and forwarded it.

In some senses, it doesn’t really matter how many people are reading. However, when you’re sending text into the ether it’s quite difficult to get a sense of how things are being received, so this amounts to good feedback. Thanks to all who have subscribed and double thanks to those who forwarded it.

Here’s the website where you can subscribe and we’ll shut up about this for a while now and get back to writing stuff about Anamul Haque.

Or WG Grace and Billy Murdoch will be forced to come round your house and...

... do things...

    1. Bert was it organizing the conception at the same time as getting your Christmas shopping done, or traveling back in time to 1908 that was the more difficult part did you think?

    2. My parents made a total mess of the timing for that Bradman date – I was born the day after.

Typical of my dad – he’d put anything off until the next day – even the pleasurable stuff.

      Great man though.

      My dad.

      And Bradman. And Bert.

  1. i share my birthday with sunil gavaskar. shame that didn’t rub off.

anyway… getting back to my occasional whining about journalism, did anyone know that wounds can be exhumed? no, i didn’t either. dan brettig knows otherwise 2nd para)

    o tempora o mores

    (grouse grumble moan)

  2. I share mine with Gerry Adams and Bruce Grobbelaar. Fine pillars of the community…

Thankfully I also have Richie Benaud, Morne Morkel Bruno Sammartino and Elisabeth Shue to make things better. Same exact date as Ricky Hatton too.

  3. Awesome. When I cross reference these birthday posts with the mothers maiden names I got from the West Indian name generator thread I’m totally going to take out a load of bank loans.

    1. Good thinking, Daneel.

You’ll also need the third letter of my password (F) and the fourth letter of my passphrase (U).

  4. I’ve never even heard of a passphrase, is it useful?
I’m guessing your password is miffed and the mysterious passphrase is i’m f*cked off
